TIPS ON GOING GREEN
NATURAL HERBICIDES
For cracks and crevices in your sidewalk try using vinegar and lemon juice .
Its great for using in places
where you have no plans for growing things in the near future.
BUG PREVENTION
To prevent aphids
on your flowers, spray water and 1 tbsp of dishwashing liquid on the plant.
Use a spray bottle the size of a normal sprayer
that you can buy in the dollar store ...yea dollar stores
Slug Prevention
Coffee Grinds will help
or cracked egg shells ...
and worms love the coffee grinds its natural aeration of our soil ..... A
good thing
Pest Spray
1 cup grated castile soap
1 cup coarsely chopped tobacco leaves, fresh
or cured
3 cups boiling water, divided
1 entiere bulb garlic, peeled and crushed or chopped
In a bowl,
dissolve soap in 1 cup boiling water and set aside. Take the remainder of the boiling water and along with tobacco
leaves blend and let set for ten minutes.
Now add garlic and turn that into a smoothie (yuck , doesn't
that sound yummy)
Strain through cheese cloth and discard solid materials.
Add herbal liquid soap to mixture and
pour into a spray bottle.
Spray the herbal liquid on insects at early morning and dusk for three days in a row.
This drives most bugs away and they pack there little suit cases and move to your neighbors house ...It
does not kill them, apply as needed
Nothing like kicking out unwanted relatives hey!

Fungus and Mildew
1 bulb of garlic chopped
1 gallon
of hot water
Place chopped garlic in the water and let steep for 24 hours.....
Strain.....
Spray on plants
to eliminate fungus and mildew
